PhD Position:
Immunosensor for biomarker detection

Graz

You will work on a research project aiming to investigate a new optical immunosensor concept. The
overall goal of the project is to detect sepsis biomarkers in blood using reflectometric measurements
on a miniaturized Si-photonic platform. The project is funded by an industrial partner.
As a PhD candidate, you will be a member of the Doctoral School of Chemistry and work together
with an international team from several disciplines. The project is in collaboration with the Institute
of Electrical Measurement and Sensor Systems (Prof. Alexander Bergmann) and the CBmed (Med
Uni Graz).

The primary aim of PhD project #8 within CO2Refinery is the development and implementation of new approaches towards generating ceramic materials with graded and/or hierarchical porosity, with direct applicability in various fields of CO2 utilization. The focus will be set on the development of new templating methods towards the fabrication of monolithic structures as well as towards obtaining spherical particulates.
